I’m back from sabbatical. It was wonderful to learn new things, forget old things, and think about all the things. Like most, I didn’t do everything I’d hoped to do, but I’m ok with that. I appreciate the space the university makes for these.
Now I have to remember how to professor.
For the first time in my academic career, I’ve been granted a sabbatical. I’ll share more details on what I’m actually hoping to do with it later, but allow me to reflect for a moment on how wonderful it is to be in a job that builds in these types of opportunities. No matter what happens, I know this time to reflect and rethink will advance my abilities as a researcher.
